How long does it take for locs to be installed/established?
The locing process should take two thirds as long as getting individual braids that are comparable in size. The installation is typically a day-long process depending on the density and the length. There is usually a minimum of 16 hours set aside for this to be achieved.
This process also has plenty of variability with size, density of the hair, and the pace of the person doing the installation. The locs never need to be removed and are simply retightened as the hair grows from the scalp.
How do I know which type of locs is right for me?
We offer Traditional Locs, Microlocs, and Sisterlocks, each with unique characteristics suited to different hair types, lifestyles, and maintenance preferences. During your consultation, we’ll assess your hair, discuss your goals, and recommend the best option based on your desired look and level of upkeep.
What should I do to prepare for my installation appointment?
Come with clean, product-free hair that has been thoroughly detangled. Avoid using heavy oils or butters prior to your appointment. If you're unsure about how to prep, we’ll provide detailed instructions after your consultation to ensure your hair is installation-ready.
Can color be applied to my locs?
