Sisterlocks celebrate and promote the beauty of natural hair. They are well-suited for individuals who want an alternative to enhance their hair's natural beauty.
Small locs created with a tightly woven framework to allow tightly textured hair to maintain a manicured set of small locs. The small diameter of the loc makes them manageable and very easy to style.
They require commitment and regular maintenance but offer a unique way to celebrate natural hair and enjoy a distinct loc style.
Size and Uniformity: Sisterlocks® are very small and uniform in size. They are typically created using a precise parting grid system, resulting in neater and more consistent locs compared to traditional dreadlocks.
Maintenance: Sisterlocks® require regular maintenance, which may involve re-tightening or "locking" individual locs. This can be time-consuming but helps keep the locs looking well-groomed.
Versatility: One of the benefits of Sisterlocks® is their versatility. They can be styled in various ways, from updos to loose curls, and they can be adorned with beads, ribbons, or other accessories.
Scalp Health:Sisterlocks® are designed to be gentle on the scalp. The smaller size and uniformity of the locs allow for better airflow and reduce the tension on the scalp, making them a suitable choice for individuals concerned about scalp health.

Sisterlocks® is a natural hair management system using small locs created with a tightly woven framework to allow women with tightly textured hair to maintain small manicured set of locs. The small diameter of the loc makes them manageable and very easy to style.
The locing process should take two-thirds as long as getting individual braids that are comparable in size. This process also has plenty of variability with size, the density of the hair, and the pace of the person doing the installation. However, the locs never need to be removed and are simply retightened as the hair grows from the scalp. There is no hair added to these locs so they are not heavy or need to be undone in any way.
Sisterlocks® do not cause the hair to thin. Actually, the woven framework of the technique should be gentle and cause no stress to the hair and scalp. The technique also requires no chemical and should not be excessively tightened.
Yes you sure can get Sisterlocks® if you have relaxer. The transition will take a minimum of 1 ½ inches of natural hair growth and a trained Sisterlocks® professional can help you through your transition. During this time you will have plenty of styling options to choose from and guidance from a well versed hair care professional is key in this transition.
Yes you can remove and or take down Sisterlocks®. This process is a very long and rigorous process and is not recommended. This is not recommended due to the state that the hair will be left in after removal of the locs.
This is not recommended because the Sisterlocks® technique has been taught to the hair care professional and covers a large range of textures and density of hair. This ensures that each person will get the locs that are suited for their hair type. Having a hair care professional helps to ensure that locs will not be thinned with unorthodox locing methods. Hair care professionals are also educated on cut, styles, and grooming tips that will bring lasting beauty to your locs.
